Myself and a date visited Joke Joint for the first time this weekend. 2-28-15. I was not impressed and in fact we left before the performance began. To start off...we ordered and paid for tickets online about 2 hours before the 7:30pm show. The website said there were still 98 of 150 tickets available. We arrived 1 hour before the show with the intent to order drinks and food before the show. We were seated upstairs on the left side. Not very good seats considering the place was 90% empty and there were plenty of better tables available. My seat would actually have been slightly 'behind' the comedian. We ordered a beer and a soft drink and an order of fried ravioli as an appetizer. (before our 'appetizer dinner'). The fried ravioli (8 for 8$) were 'okay' and it was nice that the cook removed the paper cover from the microwaved marinerra dipping sauce container for us. By the way, if you're expecting to order a 'dinner' at this place... think again. The menu is nothing but overpriced appetizer fare. No sandwiches, no nothing. See the online menu if you don't believe me. The closest thing to a meal are mini sliders in a basket. Okay, so were resigned to ordering appetizers for dinner. (mini sliders). We knew this going in. My date asks for a refill on her soft drink and we learn that it will be an additional $2.50. Huh? Were going to sit there for 2 1/2 hours and every soft drink is going to be another $2.50? Total screw job. At this point we expressed our displeasure to the waitress. (btw, the waitress was very fast and friendly). So, here we are, an hour before the show, with $35 in food and drinks ordered, empty tables everywhere and were sitting at the worst table in the place. This aint my first rodeo...and it didn't take long to figure out this place doesn't have a clue. So, the owner comes up to see what our gripe is. You would think he would offer to move us to one of the empty tables which are not currently producing revenue....one of the front and center tables where the customer will arrive 1 minute before the show and order nothing but water all night. LOL!! Very dumb business model. Nope. He just offers to refund our money. We immediately jumped on the refund and were out of there 20 min before the show started. Im a fairly patient guy, but this place...we couldn't get out of there fast enough!! We DID enjoy some laughs though...at the expense of the Joke Joint. BTW... For those of you who aren't aware...Acme Comedy Club offers preferential show seating for people who arrive (check-in)early. In effect, they reward you for ordering food and drinks before the show, with better show seating. Next time its back to Acme for me. In case you're wondering...No, I have no affiliation with Acme, except for attending shows there for many many years. Considering what I experienced last night...I can see why Acme sells out...and Joke Joint does not. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

5 stars for a great time. Stewart Huff was hilarious. This was our first time going to Joke Joint, and we'll definitely be back.

I got a living social deal as a fun date idea for the wifey and I ($13 for the pair of tix....steal!) and we decided to check out their late night show last Saturday. Their building is awesome on the inside but the stage/platform is a little small so you feel bad for the comedian but they usually make fun of it themselves which was funny. The turn out was probably 30 people so I was doubting what I was going to witness but it turned out to be a great time! Great prices on drinks, fast service, not a bad seat in the house, and every comedian had different styles and things to relate too so if you may not like the raunchy jokes you'll get goofy family stuff or maybe you're into a hilarious pizza driver who smokes dope and wears an awesome Big Lebowski T-Shirt (This guy was Tits). Either way it's a great time for a great price, we'll be back soon!

Stumbled upon the Joke Joint and was already planning to return before I left. The comedians were all outstanding! I literally laughed the entire evening, and the server was really nice too. It is a cool little venue with some history. Overall - staff was great & the comedians delivered! Best club in the metro!

Every experience has been wonderful. Never been diasappointed at any of our visits. Friendly staff and always accomodating. Planning on visiting the Joke Joint many more times.
