Lulu's Market & Deli

This place is a good place for a lunch break, service is very quick, staff is very friendly and the food is very very good. My only complaint would be that the music is a bit loud at times but the food makes up for it.
I ordered from this restaurant and when they delivered my food it was cold and on top of that I called two days later to give it another shot and they told me I was out of range for delivery! I talked to the manager and all he said is it was a mistake and did not give me a sincere apology.
I ordered delivery to St. Catherine University and the guy on the phone was very patient with me while I tried to explain where my dorm was (off campus). The guy on the phone told me it would be about 35ish minutes, but the delivery guy got here in no time. I ordered a side cesar salad and the chicken gyro. It was absolutely fabulous! The salad was perfect and the gyro was even better than I expected! My experience with gryo's are that they're very messy, but this one didn't fall apart and it was very tasty. I could have used more of the dipping sauce they gave me for my fries (which were also very delicious), but it was overrall one of the best places I've had in a long time. Absolutely I recommend this to anyone!
Placed an order for delivery on labor day. Never saw anything on any related website that would make me believe that they were closed. After about an hour and a half wait, I tried calling. No answer. Tried several times over the next half hour or so just in case they were busy. No answer. Never received my order. I have emailed them twice and tried contacting them several times to get the order sorted out. The charge is still on my credit card and I have not received any sort of communication from this place since, food or not. Great customer service...
This was our first experience with Lulu's and we had it delivered. My hopes weren't high as most of my experiences with delivered meals from restaurants other than pizza joints, Chinese food and sub shops have been subpar. The fries are usually cold and tasteless with a soggy bunned lukewarm burger. We were mostly pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Gyro basket and this was the best Gyro I've found in the Twin Cities. As in, I had a full on conversation with this Gyro. We(the fiancé and I; not the Gyro and I ;) ) both agreed the fries were delicious. They were still hot, crispy and tasty. The juicy lucy and the cheese curds were the downfall. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. The juicy lucy was anything but juicy. There was no delicious hot gooey cheese oozing out of this burger. It was as if an itty bitty ball of mozzarella cheese was stuffed in the center and they hoped for the best. What we got was a burger with hard cheese in the middle. My fiancé is a burger kinda guy and he said since the fries were so good and the burger actually tasted good, other than the hard cheese, he would give them another chance. The 2nd letdown was the cheese curds or rather fried batter. I'm guessing all the cheese which started out in the batter is still in the fry oil since all we got was hollow balls of batter with a bit of cheese residue left behind. In the end, I'll definitely be visiting or ordering for another Gyro and he'll give them another try but with a different burger.
