Hi, I am a little disapointed with my experience with Guelph Volkswagen. I bought a 2011 Jetta, and the car was very good to me over my 4 years. I only had a couple of flat tires, which can happen to anyone. The problem was that my business partner bought the same car, and he got a better price. (Mine was Manual and his was Automatic, and Manual is supposed to be cheaper) I was seriously considering going elsewhere because I like that I could reply to a text through the touch screen and the price thing, and when I told the rep that he said yeah no problem you can do that with the Jetta. Well now I am paying more then the other company for a car that will not do that. Also the rep did not walk me through anything as far as functionality, furthermore I had asked for a snow brush as my partner got one. He said "we will take care of you" Once the sale was done I didn't get anything, no mittens, no brush, they are just trying to lock down the next person. On top of that, when I left the parking lot with the car the gas tank was not full...You get a new car and you would think they would at least take the time to fill the tank. And I wasn't going to complain until I brought the car in for the first checkup and they tried to sell me an oil change at 6000km. I have to say over promise and under deliver, and I love VW's, but having a tough time trusting Guelph VW right now.

I have been dealing with Guelph VW since 2012. It has been excellent experience dealing with both the service and sales department. I bought 2 cars from them, both are great (Jetta TDI and Q5 TDI). John and Mike (service manager and sales manager) are of great help, very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

The salesperson I dealt with was extremely dishonest and that is an understatement. He tried to rip me off by several thousand dollars. He wouldn't show me all the numbers but would only give me the monthly payment for the car I was interested in saying he was giving me a huge discount. I knew from using the payment calculator on the VW website what the monthly payment should be approximately. It is unbelievable in this day and age with consumers being much more educated than ever that some salespeople still try to cheat customers like this. I told him there was something wrong with his numbers and they were way off and he pretended like he was offended and still would not show me how he came up with the monthly payment. When I got home I checked on the VW website what the monthly payment should be considering the additional dealership fees and it was $60 less per month over 72 months. That means he was trying to cheat me out of approximately $4,000. I will report him to OMVIC and the owner of the dealership.

The team at Guelph VW recently helped me find my vehicle and they have given me a really positive experience. Although I did not purchase a VW they still made me feel important and appreciative of my business, I look forward to dealing with them in the years to come and look forward to referring friends and family to them in the future.
