The Guelph location is excellent. The food is fantastic. A great, authentic and wide variety of Asian foods. The menu offers foods typically not available outside of Toronto. They offer, dimsum, Thai, Vietnamese, Singaporean, and it is all good...
Been Going there for the Last 4 Years for Takeout every Thursday . Spicy Noodle is excellent until 2 weeks ago. Normally you get 3 Shrimp, 3 Pieces of Beef and 3 pieces of Chicken I got 2 Shrimp, 1 Piece of Beef and 1 Piece of Chicken phoned Restaurant Manager asked if I ate the whole Thing ??? Of Course I was searching for the beef LOL So next week I come in he gives me a 15% discount a 1.00 of my $14.00 meal for ruining my Lunch. I'm not going back. Also If you get Large noodle instead of the small noodle that sticks together in one large ball they charge you an extra $1.00 ?? It's the same amount of noodles. Food is Good Management is Terrible
Went in for lunch for three. Was promptly greeted and sat. Restaurant is very nice inside, there were only a handful of people so we had privacy in this place but I assume for dinner it can get quite busy since there were so many tables. We ordered a shrimp roll appetizer, a single wonton soup, chicken and pineapple fried rice, vermicelli noodles with chicken, and chicken chow mein (yes this is two noodle dishes). I didn't enjoy the shrimp appetizer, but the other two did. It was in a 'spring roll' casing with lettuce and served with peanut sauce and noodles inside, but I could not recommend it. The fried rice with chicken/pineapple was good, and the wonton soup with pork dumplings were nice as well. I did not enjoy the chow mein from what I tried, but that's because the noodles were ordered to be 'crispy' and not soft. The chicken/vegetables accompanying it were good though. Vermicelli noodles dish was good however and came with chicken/vegetables as well. We should have ordered an entree of meat but we were not expecting such large portions for our dishes! They came out in large plates and we just divided our foods to share with each other on separate plates. A great dining experience overall and had plenty to take home with us. Three dishes, one wonton soup, and one shrimp appetizer plus three glasses of pop came up to ~$50. Would go again since we enjoyed the restaurant.
Soapy residue glasses. Food taste is average.
I recently ate here with my girlfriend and ordered the green and yellow vegetable curry. Half way into our meal my girlfriend noticed a piece of a napkin and a small, black foreign object in her glass of water. She checked her table napkin and there wasn't a piece missing, so the napkin piece found in the glass must have come from elsewhere. When we called the waitress over she took the glass away without apologizing or finding out how the napkin or the black object made their way into the glass. We spoke with the manager who did not offer any apology or explanation, and who was condescending, rude and hostile towards us. She even suggested that the piece of napkin was actually a tea leaf, which it clearly was not. Not once did the manager offer an apology, but rather tried to shift the blame towards us and then abruptly walked away. When the server returned with our bill she apologized. We told her it wasn't her fault, paid for our meals, and left. We were regular customers, but after this incident I would not trust the cleanliness of this restaurant, or the integrity of their management.
