I was a little nervous when we got there. The hostess wasn't clear about what was available or how long the wait would be, but it was uphill from there. We wandered outside, listened to music until we were called for our table. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the grounds and stage outside are awesome for listening to live music. I'm glad I've discovered it! (More parking, please, though!)

Went to Lone Star Grille on Father's Day. I was apprehensive, given the many bad reviews. While the kids waited for us old folks to show up, they sat at the bar to order a drink and were told that Kaelis (7 yrs) was underage and couldn't sit there per TABC laws! Pure BS, 2 pm with her parents, but they wouldn't seat them until everybody arrived? I guess the kid was supposed to stand in the middle of the lobby waiting for the grandparents. There was plenty of tables and we had reservations. We ordered drinks and perused the menu. Pretty decent menu. Our waitress was NOT Miss Suzi Sunshine. There was a bit of lag time before she took our order, we ordered and within 5 minutes the kid got her children's meal while we waited for about 10-15 minutes longer...Not a good thing. Kid eats and is finished before we get ours. Chicken Tenders (mind you there was one and a small handful of fries for almost $7). I had the catfish dinner with a tiny dollop of cole slaw and handful of fries for $13, Don had a turkey sandwich (supposed to be stuffed, not so much) for $11, Cory had the taco salad (she liked it), David had the chicken-fried steak for $12. Overall, the food was good, portions were a bit small for the price, Dave's steak was "okay," my catfish was good, just not very much of it, Don liked his sandwich, Kaelis needed more chicken, so we ordered another piece. Our waitress was not very attentive, we asked for pickles for Don (that took awhile), ordered another piece of chicken for K. that took a lot longer than the original order. The place was not packed and our waitress came over to us after a bit and said, "I'm sorry, the table next to you is taking up way too much of my time." WTF??? Another server came over and offered to bring us anything else. We had to ask for more tea and water and when she cleaned some plates off the table, she knocked the ramekin of honey mustard to the floor and she said, "glad these are my work shoes." But after we settled the bill, she couldn't wait to grab the tab and look at her tip. Beer was cheap today, $1-$2 depending. The bill was $64 before tip and I do believe they didn't get the correct charge for the additional beers. Works for me. Overall, it was okay. The concept they have is great. They just have to work on a few things. Our food was good, not outstanding, but good. Portion sizes compared to the prices was not good, for the type of Bar & Grill it is. Decent kids menu, but if your kid is over 4, better order adult meal. You might want to have appetizers, lunch or dinner and dessert. They need to work on their server's people skills and restaurant etiquette!! To complain to us that the table next to ours was taking up way too much of her time (while the people were still there, mind you) was just wrong! I saw some other dishes being brought out and their portion sizes need to be adjusted according to their price. They have several nice patio areas, they need fans both inside and out. They have a kids play area which is great. Nice large live oak trees, lots of seating, etc. We will have to come back in a month or two when they have some bugs worked out. If they don't get these things worked out, they will probably fail again. Judging from the reviews, I guess the food quality is very erratic. There were some pleasant employees that spoke to us, both as we entered and left, so that's a good thing. When you order a beer, you should be asked if you want draft or bottle and told what the special of the day is. We want this place to succeed, it's close, nice outside atmosphere (when it's cooler) and a casual place to go, meet friends, eat, drink and be merry... Work on it, LSG!

Different name, same mediocre food, over-priced menu, and nonchalant service. If you were hoping a great new company would take over and make this place all that it could/should be, spare yourself the dissappintment.

I would rate this place negative but the playground my kid loves. Food is overpriced and not nearly worth the wait or the hassle. Worst service in the Cedar Park area. So much could be done with that space but I'll never step foot in there again to find out.

We went here on Monday night. I really wanted to like this place. The food was really good, but extremely overpriced. I paid $13 for a Cobb salad. I asked for no bleu cheese and subbed cheddar. They charged me a dollar for that. The kids meals are $7. The service is very slow. I'll stick with Dahlia's. Same food half the price!
