Went in to get horse stall mats for a home gym. Everyone there was very helpful. Ended up milling around and there are many things for decor and parts that would be hard to find elsewhere.
I have purchased boots and belts here. They are really reasonably priced and excellent quality for the price. the staff have always been friendly.
I just left Tractor Supply and I am still dumbfounded at the way I was treated. I've been coming to this store for the last five years, but today will be the last. To explain--I came in to buy several bags of feed and a metal stock watering tank. I went outside, decided on particular tank that I wanted and asked the clerk to ask someone to bring it up while I collected the feed. While I was in line, the acting manager, Don, walked by so I asked him if anyone was getting the tank (since I was next in line to pay). He very tersely told me "that's not the way it's done." I simply told him that the clerk told me he would call to have it brought up front. Don left in a huff and returned a few minutes later at which point he hurled the metal tank down on the concrete floor, causing a loud crash. Then he again huffed away. After contemplating a few seconds, I decided that I would not condone this behavior. I told the clerk that I would simply drive down to Hill Country Feed (which is a mile or two away) and buy my goods there. I also went back to tell Don (without EVER raising my voice) that I thought he could have handled the situation much better. At this point, he yells at me "we are shorthanded and that [I] shouldn't be telling him how to run his store." THEN HE ASKED ME TO LEAVE! While I walked out calmly, it begun to sink in that I was being asked to leave simply because I was attempting to provide constructive advice. Again, at NO point did I raise my voice or suggest anything other than the fact that I was displeased at the manner in which he handled the situation. Is this really how Tractor Supply expects to improve its customer service? I've always believed that constructive advice should be encouraged and welcomed. This is the only way to improve. Instead I was belittled and forced to march out of the store with an angry manager yelling at my back. I am still in disbelief. I know that I will never return to this store and that I will encourage others to visit the Hill Country Feed Store or Lowe's just down the street. No one should ever be subjected to this behavior.
good service
