The Cubby Bear
Reviews

I know this place gets a bad rap sometimes but it's a must go after a Cubs game. It gets crowded but what bar doesn't in Wrigleyville after a Cubs game? They always play the best music and if you like to dance like me. This place is for you. I have never had a bad time here. I have also stopped by on a Saturday night when they have some great cover bands come and play. I hope this place stays in Wrigleyville as long as the Cubs!!!

Standard wrigleyville bar, but great place to go to concerts. foo fighters played here over the summer

Great bar if you're in Wrigleyville for a Cubs' game. Otherwise, it's pretty standard stuff with live music and bar food. The best time to go is on a Sunday afternoon and see the crazy amount of game day traffic around the stadium. The Cubby Bear is a landmark of the neighborhood, but it's best during Cubs' home games!

I go here on Sunday nights to dance salsa, cumbia, meregue, and bachata. They have a lesson that starts between 7:30 and 8pm with open dance afterwards. The crowd is very friendly and there are dancers of all different kinds of levels who come. I haven't ever eaten here, but I do see others order food and eat at their high tables which are pushed to the sides near the two bars. (I am reviewing solely for their Sunday night Latin Night.) The entire first floor space is cleared out at the middle and close periphery for dancing, and it's still very tight on the dance floor unfortunately. This place gets crowded as they always have a great live band playing. They serve all kinds of regular beers and drinks at the two bars.

Great burgers and awesome atmosphere!
