Really great food, very friendly staff, but everything else is terrible. It's expensive, I paid $15 for a soup and sandwich. It takes so long to get your food, that soup and sandwich took 20 minutes to get. The layout and flow is so annoying, you have to fight through a bottleneck of people to place your order, then once you get your food, you have to fight through the bottleneck again to leave the store. Also, they no longer serve Intelligentsia, they now offer Peets. Like I said, great food, friendly people, but your time and money will be better spent someplace else.

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I walked into the door but I was pleasantly surprised at finding a quite amazing Napa Waldorf Chicken Sandwich and on another visit a really tasty Peanut Butter And Stuff! (Yes there is stuff on there)! While the sandwiches are great and make this an amazing lunch spot the baked goods tend to be a little pricey for what you get. I'd suggest shopping elsewhere for your after lunch snack but lunch is an absolute pickup from here! (and I do mean pickup as they have a great pre-ordering system you can access online!)

Specialty's is one of my favorite lunch places in the loop. The thing that I really appreciate is the online ordering- its very convenient, and you can go and pick up your order already bagged up and ready to go after 10 min. This makes it easy for me if I'm busy at work- I can just order online, grab and go. I also like that the online system shows how many calories each of the sandwiches, etc. are - so if you are watching your calories, you can remove the mayo, etc. to get your food so something that you would be more pleased with. I really enjoy the semisweet chocolate chip cookies- you can sign up for cookie alerts where they will send you an email when the cookies leave the oven so that you can run over and get hot cookies. They ooze with chocolatey goodness! I also like the fact that everything there is made from scratch. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. **Be sure to put your business card in the bowl to get a free lunch. Not alot of people do it, so your chances are high for winning. If you want excellent customer service and great food, go to Specialty's.

Sandwich was better than expected but the cookies were not. Tried peanut butter chocolate chunk and regular chocolate chunk and both were over cooked and could have chipped my tooth.

great service, great food. I order pick up all the time because of how good the food is. Online ordering for large groups is the best.
