World of Beer
Reviews
I've given this place a few shots but they continue to let me down. I've been to my fair share of craft beer bars and WOB is at the bottom of the barrel. I give them two stars for beer selection and atmosphere but zero for customer service. The last three times I've visited I've been given a draught menu that is more than three days out of date with many of the beers I planned to order no longer available. The most recent visit I ordered a beer from the draft menu and received a bottle and even when I asked for it from the tap I was told that was not available (when it actually was). Annoying but I dealt with it. Another guest in our party ordered a specific saison, but the keg was kicked and instead of coming back to inform her that beer was no longer available, the server brought an entirely different beer and expected her to pay for it (one she did not even enjoy). Then I ordered a second beer but was told it was not available as I saw a bartender fill a glass of it. So the servers don't even know the up to date beers on draft? I doubt I will return to this location again as I've had to instruct my servers on what beer is being offered in the bar they work at. Highly disappointed.
Yeah beer! A whole world of it. Flowing like a beautiful river out of their taps. They are currently putting in a kitchen, so soon there will be food also.
Great place to hang out and have a beer.
I really had formed an opinion of WOB in my mind before we went there..."How could a business survive on beer sales - alone." My curiosity was satisfied within 5 minutes of my first and LAST visit to WOB. We arrived Sunday afternoon, to an empty post-party looking outside deck...The view from the deck, was a putrid retention pond with litter covering most of the bank nearest the deck...We all had a good laugh after someone called it "The Black Pond ". We ordered 2 small drafts (this is the part where it stopped being funny) and they handed me a tab for $15...Now I understand how they can survive on beer alone...
My family and I were at your location last night and we were very unhappy with the service we got. The server seemed to be bothered by us simply asking questions about the menu since it was our first time there! To avoid upsetting the server since she seemed like she hates her job, we moved to the bar instead. Just thought you need to know that your server has no smile on her face and no customer service skills whatsoever. As a customer, I expect to get excellent service anywhere I go, because I am the one paying. If this is how you train your servers, then I think this was our last time there and I rather pay else where to have a good time with my friends.
