Beautiful view, great service! We were sat facing the bay, and our waitress made every opportunity to tailor the food to our desires. I had the crab cake sandwich and my husband had the burger. She even offered to bring out a wine reduction sauce for him to try on his burger. I overheard the table next to us ask for a special custom plate and after their waiter asked the cook, she informed the table it was possible for $22/plate, which they kindly thanked her and ordered it. They are very willing to accommodate tastes!

Just past Scoma's on the main strip downtown, The Trident offers great service and good food. For those accustomed to San Francisco cuisine, it won't blow you away, but it's freshly prepared and the kitschy paneled dining room lend a fun ambiance. Tip: the cheese plate ($15) is entree-sized and includes local Point Reyes selections.

This is wonderful waterfront dining with an outstanding view of San Francisco and the Bay. They have added many new menu items and their Buena Vista Irish Coffee is wonderful. I definitely recommend it for after work dining or after touring Sausalito. It is centrally located, on the water, a short walk from the Sausalito Ferry, and they have valet parking if you want, or you can arrive by boat and use their 80 ft dock!

Live in the area and have been here several times. Food is good and view can't be beat, but service is very hit or miss. For instance, last two times it took 25 minutes from sitting down to get our drinks. Once you get over $20/plate you really need to step up the service. I used to bring out of town visitors here because of the nice patio on the water and the view of the city, but after two bad experiences in a row, I'm done. If you've never been here it's definitely worth checking out, and if you can go with several people I think larger groups get better service. Our bad experiences have been when there was only two of us.

The Trident is one of those Restaurants which you have to visit during a SF-Bay trip: Especially during dusk the view from the place all over the illuminated bay is overwhelming. The wide variety of menus and the quality is excellent and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Lobster menus
