Good place to get a pastry and cup of coffee to stay inside from the cold sf nights. The place has large windows for people watching. We had a chocolate croissant and a mocha. They both were delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere and will come again when I am waiting around in North Beach.
It's about before 7PM Saturday. Not sure if people working here had a long day, they seemed to be disengaged with customers and run around to wrap things up. One guy broke three big bowls and the loud cracking sound almost rocked the whole shop shaking. He just giggled with colleagues off. Not a super fancy place. Just another coffee shop with French name.
Hi. I recommend this coffee shop in the financial district. It is close to many tourist attractions such as famous churches, an old curvy Green Building built in the early 19 hundreds, a beatnik poetry and bookshop, other interesting sites. It's located around the corner from a Chinatown type Street. Great area to spend a day. The mocha was very yummy and the atmosphere was cozy and friendly.
Great coffee shop with bowls as coffee mugs. Also live the deserts they have.
