It took a long time to even get the hostess to acknowledge us to be seated, and it wasn't even that busy. We got a seat on the deck outside which was nice. Our server was fairly new, as he stated, but he did an okay job. The food wasn't anything fantastic, but it wasn't terrible either. I had the flourless chocolate cake which I was really excited about. It was really good. My friend and I each ordered a scoop of vanilla ice cream as well and when we got the check we were surprised to see a $4 charge for EACH scoop, which were tiny. So for 3 of us to eat, and have drinks, it was almost $100. I'd say there are far better places to eat in the area.
This restaurant absolutely surprised me! I had been here for drinks and I was already impressed by the environment, the prices and the beautiful view on the water. However, I went for dinner last week and the food was outstanding. It was some of the best seafood I've had in a while and was more reasonably priced than anywhere else I've been in this area. We ordered quite a bit of food and I liked everything I tried--from shrimp to crab cakes to tuna. My favorite dish of the night was the tuna tostada--I would recommend it to anyone. In addition, we were a party of eight and they accommodated us with a reservation only hours before. We were placed in a private room with plenty of space--couldn't have asked for anything better. This is definitely going to be on the top of my list for parties, visitors and after work drinks. Loved it!
Went on a Sunday for lunch and sat outside along the bay. Great views and if you like seafood they have a nice menu of fresh options. The service wasn't that great the server didn't check in and drinks took too long to come back. The price of a scoop of ice cream was $4 which is kinda ridiculous for a scoop of breyers. The drinks were' anything special either. They have live shows there so by the time we were living the bar area was packed and it's a tiny space so we were happy to leave when we did. I would go back strictly for the seafood.
This great Embarcadero hut is serving healthy and affordable food. The Carnitas Quesadillas with pepper Jack & avocado were very tasty indeed. And all washed down with a Sangre Peligroso cocktail (Milagro Silver Tequila, Blood Orange liqueur, lime & chilli salt rim) plus two pints of Trumer Plisner. Service was serious and efficient, scent of East Coast here… Plasma tellies for sports events on site & Wi-Fi are available. Great place to eat, relax, with perfect views and location. A gastro-bar to go back to.
Good fish and chips, slaw is some of the best I've had in years. The back patio chairs need to be a bit nicer so I'll want to stay and have another drink but overall it's a very nice spot with great live music inside.
