The pie had good, sizeable chunks of beef inside a soft, fluffy pastry – but the thing that I really liked was just how peppery it was (pleasantly intense, but not overpowering). The tomato relish on top was a creative substitution for tomato sauce. The accompanying salad was unremarkable though, and the coffee was just alright. It's pricey, but it's rather nice to have hot food straight after hiking for several hours.
A good place to stop on a motorbike for coffee if you're heading over the mountains.
Nice view, pricy with terrible service. After having good a experience each time I went in recent years, I took my girlfriend there for the first time today. We were seated by a waitresses on the veranda, with a nice view. We looked at the menus, discussed what we wanted and waited patiently. After a while we noticed that none of the wait staff ventured onto the veranda after we were seated, despite there being other people seated at other tables near us. We tried to get some attention, but after about 20 min we gave up and left. After a quick Google search we found a cafe
We had breakfast and couldn't resist coming back the next day. Two of the best breaskfast meals I have ever eaten. Great atmoshere and service.
The service was tardy and indifferent. A greeting and a smile go a long way in the hospitality business. We only wanted coffee and fruit toast before our walk.We got the toast first then 15 minutes later we received our tepid coffee. It cost $27.50. It's a lovely spot but we won't go back there. I can't imagine what tourists must think of this approach to service.
