Visited this cafe in Leura to check out their flower pot scones after a few recommendations. The dessert was nice, served in a small clay pot with plenty of jam and fresh cream. The dish was a refreshing twist on regular scones but not sure if it would be worth going out the way for. Overall the cafe had an old feel to it and could use an interior upgrade.

very poor scones, tasted like muffin dough undercooked and overpriced. scones from woolies would be a better choice.

21.50 for 2 fried eggs and two cups of coffee. the till did not work the wait staff were being trained during peek service. amateurish at best! Don't bother with it as its over priced rubbish there are much much better places than that in Leura.

Avoid at all costs. 1 star is 1 too many. This is the most poorly run cafe in Leura. Having waited 40 minutes for an order of an egg and a scone (which they're supposedly famous for), I asked what happened to our order. They 'lost it'. This is the most dismal service of any cafe in the area. The staff refunded the food but still charged us for coffee. Any reasonable business would have refunded the entire meal. The coffee was pretty lousy too. When I asked what happened at the counter, someone behind me said they waited close to an hour for their simple egg and toast too. Every review complaining about slow, poor service is spot on. They weren't even full at the time. Their staff don't pay any attention to their customers waiting for food. Try pretty much any other cafe in Leura (there's no shortage of them) instead.

Very friendly and good service. Owner did not know where the name came from. When I told her that in the 20th and 19th centuries in the UK a Wazegoose was the annual weeks holiday for the printing industry when all printing companies shut down (Like the Wake Week in the North of England) The owner was delighted with this news and told us that many years and owners ago the building had been a printers.
