Lily's Pad Cafe
Reviews
Great quiet cafe hidden just off the Main Street. Went up to Leura to check out the gardens festival and decided to stop there for our morning coffee. The cafe is just behind the nursery, accessible from the woolworths car park. The main streets that day were cordon off for the Leura markets day and there were lots of people everyone. Where this cafe is located, was nice and quiet and the dining area is in a sort of a garden, making it feel really tranquil. I got a caramel milkshake while their others got lattes and cappuccinos. They were delicious. We also got a banana cake and it was amazing!!! Prices are reasonable too, so I'll be visiting this place again the next time I'm here.
The dish had a lot of potential, but unfortunately the potato rosti was rather dry and the poached egg wasn't runny on the inside. I thought the cucumber sour cream on the side was a nice, tasty touch though.
This place is at the back of a carpark, which sounds less than ideal but once you walk down the path to the garden part of the cafe you enter a nice little oasis and all thoughts of cars melt away. I tried a chocolate milkshake and banana and honey bread. The milkshake had the right balance of chocolate and texture and the banana bread was moist and well flavoured. The staff are relaxed and friendly. They also had a good selection of other types of cakes and pastries which looked tempting.
Packed and noisy for a reason: food and coffee is exceptional, service is personal. Whole foods, allergy aware, home made stuff - great, will return!
Staff were very pleasant. Food and coffee were delicious. Hubby and I had breakfast and 2 coffees and got change from $50. Will definitely be back.
