Really cute little cafe on the High Street in Leura. A little bit hipster-esque but on a cold windy wintery day, it was nice to sit in a warm and vibrant cafe. It was very busy the day we went - but I assume because everyone wanted to go into the warmth (it was the middle of winter). Not much space inside and the chairs and table configuration is perhaps a little too cozy. However the staff were lovely and friendly. The food was outstanding. It was simple but really yummy and well presented. The prices weren't too bad. I would say a little expensive for the area but cheaper than Sydney. This is a tourist town after all.
Leura is a picturesque tourist town that is a must-go destination for lovers of antiques, handicrafts and knick-knacks. The Red Door Cafe is situated on the main road and has a lovely down to earth atmosphere with friendly staff. The food is not bad and the prices are not as shocking as some places that you can find in tourist trap towns. Overally I have fond memories and would go back again if the opportunity arose. The pies are lovely.
This cafe is busy especially during weekends. It serves one of the best coffees in the Blue Mountains and the pancakes are pretty awesome too. Read more on our blog ChopinandMysaucepan.
One of my absolute all time favorite cafes. It can get very crowded but this is a direct reflection of how good the food is, and how nice the service is (especially when being served by the owner, who is roaming the floor lots). The regular menu is excellent in itself, my favorite being the french toast with bacon, maple syrup, and fresh strawberries with a bowl of coffee, but keep an eye on the specials board for some seriously high end food. These guys know their stuff!
Couldn't be happier with this cafe! Great value and great food. Friendly staff and a great interior!
