Discount Tire Store - Cedar Park, TX
Reviews
AWESOME!!!!! I had driven to the Discount Store in Marble Falls without checking to see if they had the tire in stock. They were very nice and called the Leander store and arranged for me to be taken care of there. Upon arrival in Leander about an hour later, I was met at my car and called by name. They simply asked for me paperwork and pulled me right in. Sid is the manager there that I delt with and he was beyond professional. Having spent the better part of my adult life in sales and 20 years of it working at a Lincoln dealership I was very impressed. I will give them all my business, and I live in Georgetown.
What can I say...Awesome service! We went here on a very busy and rainy Saturday and received just great service. Randy (who I assume was a Manager because of the red Shirt), helped us and showed us great customer service. When we came back to get our vehicle, the Tech had made an honest mistake and Randy just made everything right! Can't say enough about this place. I will definitely be back here!!
My college student daughter had her car tires rotated at a Discount Tire store in another town. The technician there damaged a wheel bolt, lug nut, and lost or broke 2 wheel cap covers, and did not tell her. She did not notice until the next day. That store denied it and made no offer to repair the wheel. Luckily, I took the car to Discount Tire in our home town, Cedar Park. They ordered the parts, had the bolt repaired, and fixed it without any hassle. Travis was very gracious about it and followed through exactly as promised. While waiting in the lobby, another customer told me that this is the best Discount Tire store he has ever used and has had service from here for many years.
Not sure what to say about this company. I asked for a road force balance. I get all sorts of quips from them about the machine isn't any good or isn't working. Why does PBS show MotorWeek recommend a road force and I can't get it? When I do ask for a balance, the untrained workers have no idea how to calibrate the balance machine so the tires end up unbalanced. Do I need to buy a machine myself and read the instructions? It's a shame that these chain places don't do enough to train employees (I really mean management) to provide quality work. How many times do you watch they guys impact on a lug at 260 lb ft of torque and then use a torque wrench? Hey! There is a setting on the impact wrench that lowers the force. You can't test a torque after it is too tight?
I've been using Discount Tire for years and they have always treated me right. Thanks again for the good service.
