A wonderful place with a most original early 20th Century decor. The food is terrific. The menu has something for every taste and its all very good, Lots of great selections. The staff is friendly and most accommodating. Prices are right. Turtle soup - delicious. Fried shrimp - the best I have had anywhere. Marinated Sirloin - very tasty favorite. They also make homemade pies there, The pie maker has been there 60 years! He knows his pie! The best cream and banana cream pies. The pie crust for the hot dutch apple pie is out of this world. The bar is a great place to meet for a drink. The original interior architecture cannot be replicated. Tired of the chains? Try the real deal and enjoy this Pittsburgh (Millvale) gem.
Awesome food and drinks. Employees and bar tenders are amazing.
"The Grant" has been a well-known favorite for many of years. The restaurant has great food and awesome people working there. Some weekends the place is busy, and you may need to wait a little -- but it is well worth it. The shrimp dinner and the marinated steak are truly the best! If you're looking for a sandwich, then go with the grilled corned beef -- just like a Reuben "piled high" and don't forget the onion rings. YUM!
Went there last night. They totally screwed up the reservation time and number. Three of our party ordered the prime rib special when we finally got seat and served after a long wait. Two mediums and one medium well - all came very well done. Never again.
great food and great people.
