Eleven

The lobster roll, the special burger, the scallops, the salads...all of our guests were happy. We have never had a bad meal at this excellent spot!
I've now been to Eleven a number of times for dinner and brunch and have always enjoyed my experience. First and foremost, I must recommend their burger. I wasn’t overly impressed with the drinks or beer for Happy Hour, but the menu in the bar area is phenomenal. It might not look like much at first glance, but trust me that the food is the best bar food that you will ever eat. Their burger, along with Tessaro’s classic burger, is the absolute best hunk of beef that I’ve ever tasted. The food selection is great for any palate. It’s certainly a safe fine dining choice, as anyone should be able to find something that they like on the menu. I usually order fish because I can’t duplicate their mastery at home, and the choices always offer something out of the box. If you haven’t signed up for the Big Burrito Company birthday list, do it immediatley. You will receive a free entre from either Eleven, Casbah, Soba, or Mad Mex for your birthday. This is a separate list from the Mad Mex birthday list, so don’t use your BBC coupon at Mad Mex. You can choose any entre up to $30 for free. This will cover almost all of the entres, and if you do choose a more expensive one, you only pay the difference. You can’t go wrong with $6 for a plate of lamb chops. The service and decor is top notch. It’s a very romantic venue and perfect for intimate evenings, birthdays, or anniversaries. Brunch is a little more lively and casual.
Eleven has truly great food, and very good variety within the menu. The place is not overly stuffy, but not overly hip either. The service is very good and attentive, but not overbearing. I've been to Eleven twice, and have had a great experience both times.
Eleven aims high but doesn't quite deliver what it promises. It's a beautiful restaurant and a great place to take a date if you're trying to impress, but the food, while pretty, isn't really special. Not much was really remarkable but the portions were small. While you can look in their kitchen as you walk by and notice the homemade breads, the breads too are disappointing and not very tasty. Service was plentiful, but not quite on top of things. When you find you must flag down someone to fill your water glass or provide some pepper, it's a bad sign. Good service anticipates such needs. If you're looking for a nice setting and don't care much about your food, Eleven's a great choice, but if you want a memorable meal, I'd look elsewhere.
Good spot for a business lunch. Try the swordfish sandwich and tuna tartare.
