Terrible place! My husband, my children, and I ate here and had a terrible experience. It was a Friday night and never ever again, will I ever eat here! First of all, my husband witnessed one of the COOKS snorting drugs in the bathroom. We waited over an hour to receive our appetizer! About an hour and a half to get our meal. The manager was sitting at the bar badmouthing the customers, clearly so those around could hear. He was belligerent and drunk. The place was filthy. Our table was sticky. When I asked the waitress, Britney to clean the table, she moaned and groaned and had a bad attitude, but eventually did it. I had to listen to her complain about how she doesn't get enough hours to the other employees, and how upper management are assholes, yet she clearly hates her job. To top the night off, as we were eating desert, we witnessed a cook wipe his snots in his hand, and walked back to the kitchen to cook! At that point, we had enough, lost our appetites and left. I suggest no one ever spending the money to eat in this nasty drug dump ever again. This is the perfect example of ghetto trash.
Great menu, lots of gluten free choices. Terrific service, fresh food. All around satisfying, even with kids.
always love it here, we eat here a few times a month. Took family of 10 here for easter brunch. Was embarrassed, so terrible. Had to wait and hold up huge line for plates, food spills all over buffet table, empty items. Told 2 young men several times along with others in line complaining that items needed refilled. Every spoon/tongs sticky. Food not even warm. They shouldn't book so many if the staff cant keep up. I could barely eat. Had to ask 3 servers several times to bring coffee to the table.Paid 300.00 with tip for a disgusting holiday meal. For 24.99 a person we should have gone to the grand concourse and had a quality meal. I was more embarrassed as I was taking the family. Eat n Park even more appetizing. very dissapointed
I was very impressed. The decor is very modern and interesting. Service was great. I got a chicken caesar salad, which was also great.
There are better places for a Sunday Brunch in the city than Walnut Grove. The decoration is great, the space is cramped, too cramped for a regular Sunday Brunch, and even worst for a Mothers Day kind of brunch. The selection of food is minimal, the Prime Rib was too hard, the Pork was too dry and there was not a single kind of sauce or gravy to make it better. This was our third visit to the place, one more than what I usually give to other places. Price was not too high, but then again, the selection was too limited so the price was not good enough.
