Great place to bring a date or your text books.
Excellent breakfast and caffeination spot. Very friendly staff that knows how to make a great brew. The drinks with the cocoa powder are amazing. The breakfast wraps are also very good and huge. Prices are on the high side, but the portions are pretty huge.
The food takes forever to arrive, it's been more than 20 minutes since we placed the order. The menu options are pretty good but the service is so slow. Please do something about it. I've come here 3-4 times and each time end up waiting very long. That's why I go to serious pie or portage bay for my weekend brunch.
Went for brunch on a Saturday. Ordered the 100 layer french toast with brie and berries.
The slice of brie turned out to be huge! I'm a big fan of brie so that was a pleasant surprise. The sweet french toast and savoury cheese went very well together, add the little bit of sweet-and-tartness from the berries. Amazing!
Service and decor were good, but it's the food that makes me want to come again.
Charming, rustic place with nice home cooked food and decent beer. Reasonably quiet too which is a bonus.
