Naked City Brewery & Taphouse
Reviews
Ok. Crowded, extremely slow service, which with kids is hard. Tables very close together, which makes it louder and I kept getting the back of my chair smacked by the unattended children behind us. Beer list was impressive but my questions regarding what they recommended were met with a blank stare and a shrug. Food ok, but nothing worth seeking out again.
Food was alright, beer was good, and the service was awful. Mandy was our server and boy was she either having a bad day or maybe she isn't cut out for a customer service kind of position.
Terrible service and mediocre food. This place tries to portray its self as upscale brewpub with fancy entrees but fails miserably. The food is mediocre at best and service is none existent. You are expected to get up and order food from the bartender who apparently has more important things to do than take food and drink orders. The few house beers I tried were all tasty so at least they have that going for them.
Came here to try a pumpkin beer from the east coast they had on tap (Southern Tier) and ended up enjoying their awesome smoked porter and IPA as well. The service was friendly, quick, and polite, and their food was good (wife and I split a black bean burger). We wanted to try their peach heffeweizen bread pudding, but they were all out, so we went with plum/strawberry balsamic ice cream. Truth be told, this in-house dessert might give Molly Moon's much respected strawberry balsamic ice cream a run for it's money (IMHO). I'd love to come here more often, as the atmosphere was a lot more relaxed and less hipster-esque than those around where I live, but it's a bit of a trek for me, so I'll only go when in the area or if they've got something special I want to try. Cool place though, wish it was in my neighborhood.
Look no further for a great selection of beers and a decent menu. This place is a gem. It does get crowded on weekends but is totally worth it.
