I was watching Cooking Channel and one of their episodes was 'Guilty Pleasures' - they featured BHTavern about their 'Holy Shit That's A Lot of Bacon Burger' ... I was ready to try it - I went out with one of my co-workers to try this bad boy ... I was SO ready for this, I was telling my friend about how good it looked, and both us of were waiting to try this burger cuz we just love bacon ... When we got there, and ask for the 'burger', the waitress told us that it was a weekly item and it changes every week - WTF!! So she recommended the Kim Chee Burger instead - "average burger", not worth the money [ill take a Dicks burger, or In-n-Out burger anyday over that] - we tried a few more other items which were fine but nuthin to lose sleep over ..... this was over a year ago - ive not been back to BHT ever since - sorry ...
I concur with other reviewers that call out the greatness of the pretzels, my favorite dip for them is definitely the cheese/pimento. Stopped in on a Thursday night and it was packed. We had planned on getting a few beers, some dinner, and getting in a few games of shuffleboard. Unfortunately, in the almost 2 hours we were there, the two groups that were planted at them never finished up. The food was good and the beer selection was great.
Went twice...Beer was good but the food was awfulness wrapped in horror. Thought the first horrible visit was due to being there near closing. The burger tasted like it was dipped in propane and the next visit was wings that had no flavor and was 10 bucks for 5 wings.
Surprisingly good food for what at first appeared to be a run of the mill pub. Their beer list was pretty extensive and their dishes were served in healthy portion sizes (meaning large, not healthy). Overall a good place to grab lunch with friends.
Place is always packed. Fair prices drinks, family style eating. Huge bar area; Place is kind on an meat market though, so it can be pretty douchey to that effect.
