Bar service is terrible--unless you're a regular. Bartenders look right through you. Three times in a row--once for lunch, next two times for dinner, the meal was inexplicably delayed 30 minutes or more. No reasons given, only weak excuses--but the regulars, those known by name to the bartenders, got theirs in good time. I waited 20 minutes for a beer, 30 minutes for a fish entree, in a slow restaurant! When I lived in Communist Eastern Europe I got better service, frankly. When I asked for a manager, the bartender said he was it. Really? For my pains, he granted me a free beer--gee whiz, it must've cost the bar a whole 30 cents profit--this is supposed to make up for being treated like the invisible customer? I travel on business frequently to Greenville, and will NOT return to this place, EVER, on pain of starvation.
This place is the best restraunts in Greenville. I was appalled at a customers disrespect for the wait staff. He complained about the 15 minutes it took to get his 5* meal with 40+ people in the restraunt. I would like to let the management and staff know they are doing a great job. I go there at least once a week for the great service and food.
I went here for dinner with a party of 5 after hearing great reviews about this place. We had a HORRIBLE experience, as it took over 2 hours to get our food, the waiter was rude, the management was not apologetic for the terrible wait, and we were given no explination as to why it took so long for our food. We will not be eating here again; there are plenty of other places in Greenville that serve amazing food in a timely manner!!!
I recently met some friends here for lunch and it was delicious. I had the tomato basil soup and a grilled cheese, which tasted just like home cooking. It was very busy and crowded though, which made getting back to work on time a bit of a challenge.
My family and I have been coming here since before I can remember! This place has FANTASTIC food and atmosphere. The wait for food is well worth it and the waiters are always courteous. I love CPWs. So many good memories have been made at this place
