This place is off the beaten path, but worth the 15 minute drive outside of downtown Springfield. $6 buckets of beer on Wednesday nights, fun atmosphere, and friendly people. Great place for an out of town person to go for a night out in Springfield. The food isn't great, but the atmosphere and cheap drinks make up for it!
My friends and I absolutely love The Roost. The staff is personable, even when they are packed. The atmosphere is great, especially for sports games. Plus the food and drinks there are great and inexpensive! Taco Tuesdays and Happy Hour Thursdays are our favorite nights to go up there for dinner and drinks. Definitely try the Spinach Chicken Wrap, Mild and Wild Wings, or Cowboy Quesadilla. All three are delicious!
Decent prices, good food.
Went there tonight for a to go order, bartender usually handles pick ups so i gave him my name. When he told me the total, it seemed high but I went ahead and got the extra money out. As I was reaching in my pocket to grab the change he impatiently slammed my food on a refrigerator next to the bar and walked off to pour drinks for other people. I stood there long enough for him to help 4 other people and for me to try and get his attention 3 times. As he started walking over to help a 5th person I finally just picked up my food and set the cash in its place and left. Of course when I got back to work to eat the food was sub par, very old tasting and there was no plastic ware or napkins and no receipt to check and see if I was over charged. I've always liked there wings but I will probably never go back there again. This was on a Friday night and the bartender had dark hair.
I was not impressed by the service. The waitress was very rude and short with our table.The waitress's name was Rebecca, short white blonde hair. While waiting for drink refills, she was standing behind the bar texting or messing with her phone. It took her 15 minutes to fill our drinks. Would not be a person I would EVER have working for me. Management needs to do better training on staff!!! Will not be back!!!
