Keys Cafe & Bakery

First time here because I was recommended it by a coworker for brunch. Nice atmosphere, but was nothing like a cafe really. I felt like I was in a nicer looking Perkins. I ordered a choco chip buttermilk pancake and the country fried steak that came with gravy sausage, your choice of bread with strawberry jam, 2 eggs, and a generous sized hashbrown. Let me be honest in two words salty and greasy. That is about all I can say. I gave an extra star for the friendly customer service. On my way out, I was asked by the cashier how everything was and I told her, "It was..alright." Personally, I would not stop here again. If you like greasy and salty food for brunch this is your place, but at $10 for the same amazingly better tasting entree you can go to Hazel's in NE MPLS. ;)
That place is NOT a cafe. It's a sit down diner with shitty coffee. I went there to work on a project, thinking it was a cafe. I was greeted by a waitress (odd for a cafe) who sat me at a booth. I asked for their wifi password while looking at the menu. Only coffee and cappuccino, no other coffee drinks. A cafe with 3 difference types of liver dishes and two coffee drinks? WHAT? The patrons were all over 60. Ordered coffee and whipped out my lap top. The waitress over the next 30min dropped by my table 4 times, each time more agitated that I wasn't ordering anything. She shot me a dirty look the last time. They barely had coffee or bakery items on the menu, only short order crap that looked gross. I tried getting to work again then noticed that they turned the AC on in my section. It's winter and I was freezing. I paid for my coffee and left. The verdict: crappy greasy spoon disguised as a "cafe". Don't go there.
Thanksgiving Dinner without the kitchen time! Key's turkey dinner is my favorite menu item. Real whole roasted turkey and home made mashed potatoes are just delicious. Their breakfasts items are huge and served all day long.
Save time go somewhere else. Very busy place. Was told we could sit in Monty's. They we understaffed. Which I was understanding to. We waited 45 min for our food which was not worth the wait. Love Keys in FL. Won't be back to this location. We there almost 1hr45 min from start with kids in tow that a long time.
i eat here a few times . now if I compare it to Woodbury or Minneapolis they seem to be different restaurants, not all cooks cook the same way sure but the recipes are the same! better kitchen training will go a long way.
