Claddagh Irish Pub

Great food, drinks and atmosphere! I love this place.
The food is the best I've ever experienced, and customer service was outstanding.
Love the corned beef. Best in the area.
Atmosphere is great, service was very good, but the food has really gone downhill. I hadn't been here for a while, but the menu was completely different than it was a year ago. The server said it is because they are trying to go with the same menu as the other Claddagh locations around the country. I had a "new" dish called the Coddle (Basically their new take on Bangers & Mash). The Sausage tasted like it had been cooked, then frozen, then re-heated in a microwave. The potatoes were sliced baby reds (not mashed), and were OK, but bland. It was all served in a shallow bowl with a mustard-beer broth. Sounded interesting, but in reality really missed the mark. I was unimpressed. My date had the Salmon, which she claimed tasted so-so, and was under-cooked in the middle. Overall, we were disappointed. The food had been really tasty comfort food the last few times we had been here. This time we found all the staples that we liked were no longer on the menu, and what they now had was trying to be too fancy for what it was. The new menu may be a good concept, but it was poorly executed. We won't be rushing to go back.
Went here for Sunday Lunch with my wife. Mainly we went to Claddagh because we had purchased a coupon book from the neighbor kid that was raising money for his school sport. The book had a coupon for 1 free appetizer with the purchase of an entrée. When ordering our meals plus appetizer we were told the coupon could not be accepted due to the date being near St. Patrick's Day. There is not any indication on the coupon that this exemption existed; even after pushing the matter they would not accept it. The food itself was 'OK', but there are many other restaurants in the area that have better food at better prices. 7 dollars for a pint of Guinness in a plastic cup also seems excessive. Do yourself a favor; save some money, eat way better food, and drink cheaper beers by stepping across to 3-squares. Oh, and 3-squares does honor their coupons in the same book.
