Today a group of 6 of us went to the Cheddar's in Coralville to celebrate my son's graduation. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait for a group that size. No problem. We did end up waiting about 45 minutes only to be seated at TWO separate booths. We were never asked if two booths were okay. The hostess took us back there, I said to her two booths?? She said "sorry" and RAN off. My son had to go up and ask how much longer it would be to seat us all at a table and was told another hour. They knew how many were in our party from the minute we walked in. Why did they tell us 30 minutes then? The hostess was very rude to my son also. THEN our waiter was missing in action. When he finally came by he asked if we would like more napkins and we said yes. Never saw him again, never got the napkins. Thank you Cheddar's in Coralville for ruining our celebration dinner. We could have chose anywhere in Iowa City/Coralville to eat and we certainly chose the wrong place when we decided to eat at Cheddar's! This was my First and Last time in Cheddar's.
The water they served us almost made me vomit I smelled it and it smelled like it came from a dirty toilet. Food was 4 stars.. I was scared to drink anything besides booze and even that was watered down and the drunk waiter didn't seem to care and he tried to make too much small talk it was kinda creepy.
Potato skins here are amazing. Also baked potato soup is delish. Service is hit and miss
THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT AND VERY REASONABLY PRICED. OUR SERVER KELLY WAS COURTEOUS AND EXCEPTIONAL. VERY PLEASED!
The food was great and reasonably priced!
