just got two orders of "Naked" chicken wings to go. Terrible!!! Not completely cooked. Had them there before and were really good. Today's cook must be in a hurry. Had to throw 3/4 of them out. Too expensive to that again
I wish I could give this a lower rating. I knew I had gluten intolerance and thanks to this place I know I have a true allergy to wheat. When you walk in the door your greeted by a sign that says "Vegetarian Menu and Gluten Free Menu" So I think super, I'm good to go. I ordered off the Gluten Free Menu a burger with some garlic potatoes and broccoli, as an after thought I asked to have no bread with my burger. My Mother who eats gluten but occasionally eats g free when she is with me ordered the same G free burger with a bun, garlic potatoes, and green beans. When our food came she had broccoli not green beans, we took this in stride since she likes both. I took one look at her bun and said Mom I don't think that is G- free. I asked the waitress to please check to make sure that it was in fact G free. The waitress didn't come back so I assumed it must be gluten free. My Mom said the bun is terrible I think it must be Gluten Free (we all know some of them are really bad). I took a quarter size bit of the lower half of the bun and when it grew in my mouth I was pretty sure it wan't Gluten free. 10 min.s or so later we asked for some butter as she passed by, when she came with the butter I asked " did you check on the bun is it Gluten free"? She said and I quote "Oh yea the cook said he thought he might have put the wrong one on" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I went to the bathroom and the stall I was in had not one stitch of tp.. When I told the hostess what had happened and that they need to train people to first of all at least act like they care when they screw up and to understand the importance of food allergies. I explained that I was going to be sick because of the mess up which is bad enough but nothing compared to my two children who both have different anaphylaxis allergies where they can die! We were not offered our money back (My Mom had already paid) they did say " sorry " but I have to say they don't get and I would not eat there ever again. The food other than the bun was good the broccoli was cooked perfect and the potatoes were also good.
We Have always had wonderful service and great food. My kids love it.
Was understaffed
Two years ago, when I last dined at this restaurant, our appetizer came out well after our entrees were gone. I shoved Okoboji Grill on the backburner when it came to dining out. Fast forward to last Friday--a friend of mine called and said she wanted to go someplace where she could eat as well as consume alcohol. Since we were on the east side and didn't feel like going downtown, I suggested Okoboji Grill. The food was good (the Boji Fries w/ranch are very, very pleasing to the palate) and so were the chicken strips. The entrees could use some kind of bread to go with it. However, I ran into a problem with my transaction. Apparently, my card was swiped twice, but the server gave no indication that this happened. I only found out after reviewing my online transaction log. I called the next afternoon and inquired about the duplicate transaction. The manager that answered said "it would fall off in 24 hours". OK, fine. 24 hours later, it still had not disappeared. I waited another 24 hours and it was still on my log. Now irritated, I called again and asked to speak to a manager. He said that he would review his receipts and transactions and call me back. He has not done that yet. I was not offered an apology or any compensation for the tying up of my money or the delay in any form of refund. I have since wrote a letter to the corporate office detailing the situation. I will not be back to this restaurant and would recommend you send your patronage to other restaurants in the area.
