Started with the Iowa roasted organic coffee. Devoured a Scotch Egg……best I’ve ever had… local farm fresh hard boiled egg. encased in homemade sausage, breaded, fried. cut in half and drizzled with a freshly made cheese sauce. Crab Eggs Benedict….. first time… perfect… every bite was light, delicious, and heaped in euphoria… Cheesy Grits Cake…. first time… crispy, moist, fluffy cheesy goodness Sweet Potato Hash…. best I’ve ever had… French Toast…. best I’ve ever had… Chocolate Filled Beignets…. fried homemade doughy chocolate contentment I loved the entire Augusta experience, the staff was kind, friendly and attentive…. the perfect prefix to my Sunday nap…. You guys are amazing! be great, doc heff
Very good food and very friendly people. The homemade hot sauce is an excellent compliment to their homemade fried chicken - itself some of the best I've had since visiting New Orleans. The flavors all came out to play from appetizer to desert. Could they add muffaletta, to the menu?
Their food is amazing. They have really good, creative nightly specials which are really worth a 6-star rating. Simply the best restaurant in the Iowa City area!
Was visiting Iowa City and took a drive with my parents out here. Simply put: the best meal I had in Iowa. Everything is fresh and delicious---had New Orleans style shrimp, sweet potato chips, and started with the gumbo. All were exceptional. Definitely recommend a visit---it's worth the drive!
Had the ribs - excellent but only available as a special. Call ahead.
