I went here because I needed some African spices for a dish I was making. I'd describe it as the equivalent of a corner store but with a Middle Eastern twist: they have a bunch of quick snacks and drinks you might find anywhere (kombucha, juice, etc) but also cheeses, olives, sauces, and even a bulk spice section. There is no fresh produce or western snack foods, but tons of pita bread choices which can be harder to come across in the Mission. The layout is a bit crowded but it's a small space, and the guy who rang me up was busy but I don't mind - he didn't charge me for the small spice pack I got or the plastic bag.
How do they get such a vast selection into one store? They are super-friendly and will help you navigate the store and pick the right product. The sweets and pastries alone would put many places to shame. If you are hungry on arrival (which means you haven't been to nearby Old Jerusalem, then a visit to the cheese and olive sin the rear is definitely in order.
These guys have been here for so long...they are friendly...and fair priced considering most middle eastern food markets are expensive... Check them out great place
