I have been there four time and on all four visits they have been under staffed. From the tone of previous post im guessing its management. The food is right for the price though. I just take really long to make it to your table.
unfortunately the general manager of this restaurant has been a cancer to it for many years. Until they get rid of Jerry Wilson who has never cared about food quality, and has no respect for customers or his employees (he was a major reason it failed many years ago when it was Camelot). unfortunately until they get rid of him and bill and Twyla their karaoke hosts it will never reach its full potential which is very sad because it is a beautiful restaurant.
First off, I've been to the Painted Mountain Steak House at least once a week for the past two years. I am on a first name basis with many of the employees and I have yet to wait more than 25 minutes for food. I know this place gets bad reviews sometimes, but I am a firm believer that 98% of people only use the reviews to rant, not to compliment or constructively criticize. The bottom line is, if you want a good deal, great service, and a friendly neighborly atmosphere, than stop by the Painted Mountain Steak house for some drinks and food. You never know, you might end up staying for the famous Bill and Twyla Kareoke show!
Hit and miss resturaunt. First time I went there horrible service. I think all the reviewers must have same waitress that left horrible reviews. It was a slow night and somehow managed to get our appetizers and eat them then sit for 15 mins before she even took our order! We were there for a total of 3 hrs! If I wasn't out with inlaws would have left right then and there! Went back but this time made sure not to get her as server. This time service was great! Quick good food etc!
We like the food & ambiance and would frequent this restaurant more often IF ONLY......they would get rid of Bill and Twyla Kareoke. My Gawd those two are awful, too noisy & loud in the restaurant area.
