The Ossington
Reviews
The Ossington is ok. There's nothing wrong with it, but also nothing really special about it either. Tend to come here for a drink if the Bellwoods Brewery is too busy and I'm waiting for a table. Selection of beer is fine and they sometimes have a stand-up comedy night, if that's your thing.
The staff was very friendly and sweet. The food is so fresh and stunning to look at. It is a work of art. The Tempura is so light and very crispy with amazing sauce. Ive eaten here twice now and drive 30 mins to come to town just to eat they best food I have had in years. I liked the filtered and the unfiltered Saki both interesting and added an extra layer and element to our lunch. The menu ais outstanding and will be going back to try more soon. Love this place!
Small place but nice! Good music, cheap cover.
Excellent Tequilla here!
I used to like this place but realized that once 2:00AM comes around they really don't care about you (the customer) anymore. I work late and so I like to buy a few pints just before 2:00 and finish up catching up with friends, some old bald guy kept barking at us about the law being that all drink have to be of the table @ 2:20 and literally took them away from us @ 2:19 (the law states 2:45). That's what happens once a place is considered trendy, customer appreciation gets tossed out of the window. I'll be going to the Drake, Levac Bloc, Stones place or across the street from now on, all are better options in my opinion.
