Zanobia

I recently had my birthday dinner there...my friends and I loved it! Service was great including our waiter who was very understanding and patient with the bills, as well as the manager. The only thing I would recommend for Zanobia is playing other songs other than Arab music and putting the music a bit lower. There was a DJ, but everytime I recommended a song he got annoyed. Also, I was upset when I found out shisha costs $17 on Saturdays which is overpriced (I was not told before when making reservation) but in the end we worked it out. Other than those perks, I'm glad I had my birthday at Zanobia's! Would definitely recommend it :)
Horrible place, definitely not worth the time NOR the money!!
Booked for department Christmas dinner, big rip off , charged for 32 people food not enough for even 20 people. Christmas dinner without desserts? Sheesha $25.00 with one refill. Can not complain about the service as there was not any service.Dirty dishes sat on the table all night. Overcharged for drinks bunch of crooks operating this place stay away from this place folks!
Not AT ALL impressed with this restaurant in terms of neither service nor food quality. My boyfriend and I were on our way to The Open Cork but randomly decided to check this place out as we were passing by. We were told $10 cover if we were to sit out in the patio (who charges cover for patio??). A lady - seemed like she was either a manager or owner - told us that it'd be $30 per person for 10 appetizers, and an entree dish (chicken + beef kebob) which would include fries if we were to take patio table. She somehow said it'd be cheaper to go with that $30 compared to dining inside.. which I still don't get. Anyhow, it was nice at first - it was a different environment, and found it quite interesting. When I couldn't decide on my drink and asked for water for the time being, one of the servers brings out a bottle of water which I found it odd for them not to serve free glass of water like other restaurants. I asked the server to take it back and ordered a BL instead. We were served: 2 different types of salad dishes, 3 different dips (hummus, babaganush? and tzatziki), 1 dish of cheese-filled fried spring rolls, 1 dish of some fried veggie dish, and of course, pita bread in a ziploc bag. We were originally told there would be a total of 10 appetizer dishes but were served with 7 dishes in total instead. We waited for the non-existing remaining of 3 appetizers, but were served with main dish. There was about 3 servers and one lady working at the time. None of them were attentive to us and had to call out for service. When we asked for our bill, we also asked for a container to get leftovers to go. We didn't eat much and only ate probably 1/3 of total served. The server nods and when he finally came back, he tells us that they don't allow leftovers to be taken home. Umm why can we take home food we already paid for? If this was a buffet then I completely understand, and obviously wouldn't be asking for a container to take home food to begin with. He never gave us an explanation as to why leftovers can't be taken home. We took care of the bill and I was still mindboggled by what just happened. I called the lady over and asked for reasons behind why they don't allow leftovers to be taken home. She says she'll look for containers and went back inside the restaurant. She didn't take too long and came out almost immediately.. but with pitchers instead to serve other tables. We were waiting to see if she'd come to our table and at least provide us an explanation but she moved from one table to another and never came to our table. At this point I was just pissed at their poor service and decided to just leave. In the end, including a bottle of beer and coke, it came to around $88, in which gratuities were already included. I'm never cheap when it comes to food.. but their mediocre food and their poor service was totally NOT worth $88. Workers there tend to be more attentive with other tables which seemed to be of their ethnicity and/or their regulars. Definitely regret coming to this place.. should've just gone to Open Cork as originally planned. It would've been completely fine if they provided us with reasons why they don't allow leftover takeouts. Service is horrible and we will NOT be coming back. I would rate 0 if I could.
Really Really what ever people said about Zanoubia it is little ,when they make deal with u for party they treat u so different and very badly service and the bills at the end got different then what is the deal they tell u something and they do something the owner show at the end and try to manage but all of them is one that is trick for people but u know why they take advantage bcs he is the only one he believe himself here .His food terrible. His service terrible .all what I said is from experience with this restaurant and never never ever again ill go there .we felt embarrassing in front of our guest bcs they don't say the restaurant did that they r going to say we got what we pay and we pay more than this restaurant deserve ,they told u what ever drink u want is available and when the party start they gave u 2 or 3 kind of drink and they close the bar can u believe that this is was the owner word and thank
