Bairrada Churrasqueira Grill

Here is why I have given this restaurant 4 stars it is all about the patio in the back of the restaurant. You feel like you are at a Portuguese family picnic. The atmosphere is alive and you can’t stop the feeling happy when you are there. Your waiter becomes your brother, the table next to you becomes your cousins and the whole family just enjoys good food, and good times. I have had a few dishes that I probably won't have again, like the Cod fish, as it was a little too boney but the Frango no Churrasco/B.B.Q Chicken is still calling my name.
Really good stuff. Huge plate. Not a shockingly distinct flavor, but definitely Portuguese. The patio and the commotion when its busy may deter some, but for me it was the character that made this place so enjoyable.
Great food, great service. One of the best Portuguese restaurants in Toronto.
The food is good but when I was going to pay with my debit card they said they just take credit or cash. The person suggested to use the ATM. Behind me a portuguese speaking costumer said she was going to pay debit and they said "ok". Not nice.
Came here last week for the first time after a recommendation of a friend and I have to say that the price/quality ratio is amazing. I believe it was $13 dollars for 1/2 liter of red house wine, which was actually a very nice "sipping" wine. Had two of their specialties the BBQ chicken and COD fish, portions where quite generous though the fish could have been prepared a bit better, it was cooked properly but taste wise a bit to salty. Staff was very friendly and they didn't complain that we stayed a bit longer (we didn't realize they closed at 8 on Sunday). The one thing that was annoying where the fruit flies (3 of them) that kept messing with us...I know its hard to deal with them but it would sure be nice if you guys did so. Overall I will certainly come back.
