I called to inquire about a reservation. had the rudest lady put me on hold while I was mid-sentence. Noticed I'd been put on hold when I heard the familiar "beep-beep" of being on hold. Got through to another man, ALSO rude. Told him I was cut off mid sentence and he was also rude about it. "Yes Yes" he snapped "Very busy... what is it?" Fabulous that you're so busy you can be rude to anyone who calls in for a reservation. Cannot comment on the food, the horrid phone call was enough to ensure I'd never darken their door.
Great food and atmosphere. But I received the worst service iv ever had in a Gta. First we had a party of 10 and waited 45 mins at the table just to get water on table. Also felt scammed when then they threw on a "mandatory" 15 percent tip bullshit. Anyways servers need a reality check.
I had been to this restaurant once with a small group of friends and loved the experience. The food there was prepared with quality and freshness; I loved the experience. With this positive review in mind I decided to bring a larger volume of people for a birthday party so we called to make reservations/deposit. The first problem started with them not taking credit card information over the phone, that they would need it in person...But I live near Stouffville, driving down isn't the easiest and not really worth the trip for a 1 minute transaction...especially when this method can easily be circumvented. So the gf volunteered to go and make the deposit. She gives them the $200 to book tables for ~30 ppl (+/-2,3). After the transaction completeD they announced their fineprints. "The deposit is non-refundable" Okay? Thanks for letting me know now "You must meet the threshold of 30 or else the deposit is kept." So I asked him what if 25-29 people came because one or two people had problems last minute. "Non-refundable" Okay? So say I had over 30 people attend will you refund the deposit back onto the credit card? "No" Well what the hell, He says I could use the deposit to pay off the bill, but everyone is paying separately (mentioned in the initial call prior to the visit). My girlfriend and I won't be having a course for 200 dollars, will you at least reimburse the rest to the original card holder? "You have a party of 30" Meaning get the rest from from someone else. I'm not going to play gift card exchange with the other attendees, We're not that type of people. The point of all this was to make matters simple. I'm making the deposit to book seats in hopes of receiving the deposit back in light of bringing business. If there's a no show, then you keep the money. Simple. Isn't that what a deposit is for? After enduring a strenuous conversation with the manager he decided allow the return of the deposit. That's an easy $1500 they won't be making that night, at least not from us. I took all these negative reviews about their customer service for granted. But it really does exist and it starts from the Management and makes it's way down the chain as people have been complaining about. I'm not going to tell you guys not to go, the food great, but rest assured you'd find better customer service from even McDonalds.
Ordered clams and angel hair pasta in a red sauce. AWFUL. sauce was runny and flavourless. calamari was fine. service was only so-so, food overpriced. Risotto was mushy, no cheese, lacking flavour. NOT RECOMMENDED
Wonderful restaurant! We happened upon this place by chance and ended up having the best food we have had in years. The wine selection was fantastic, the ambiance was relaxed and high class, and the food was to die for. Anyone visiting Mississauga has to try this place! I can't say enough good things about the ambiance, service, and especially the food!
