Great selection, but terribly staffed. My husband and I went in with the intention of buying a hamster, but in the entire store there were only two staff members, one stuck to each till at opposite ends of the store. This store is massive. Besides the fact that is a huge LP issue, as they likely had stuff walking out the door unpaid for all evening, it also doesn't do much for sales... We came in with the intention of buying, but were turned away because neither could leave their post and help us on the floor.

This store sold us a ringworm infected guinea pig and my toddler caught it! When we were there to buy it two weeks ago, the one we picked in the first place was also infected(the salesperson told us) Buyers beware.

I never write on reviews about stores but today I feel the need to. I took my dog Maya for a haircut this week (Langford PetSmart) with a printed photograph and specifically said "I only want her to be trimmed and her undercoat brushed." When I came to get her she was no where in sight and they said "go pay and we will get her ready for you." When I came back I grabbed her and left because I was so shocked and did not want to react right away. She received the worst haircut I have ever seen! They SHAVED her unevenly with stray hairs everywhere. They trick you by getting you to pay before you see the awful job they do. I could have done a better job and saved $55. They told me to bring her back if I found hairs that need to be trimmed...yeah right! They will never EVER be allowed to touch my dog again! After this I have heard from 2 people that they have had similar experiences...shame on me for not asking around first. P.S. I wouldn't even give them one star but Google won't let me publish without at least 1 star.

I have loved a multitude of pets over the last 45 years, and I have to say although I was initially cautious of the "Big Store" my experiences at Petsmart have always been extremely positive. Today I had the best aquarium advice and support from Amie that I have had in 35 years of owning aquariums. She was very helpful, educated and a pleasure to deal with. They have an excellent return policy, and I have always found the staff to be knowledgeable of their products.

I love the dog training. Wendy really knows her stuff! All the staff are genuinely welcoming of dogs in the store, and my dog thinks it's Disneyland. What a great place to socialize a dog, especially when it's too wet to enjoy outside. Excellent selection of products, and I always find exactly what I'm looking for (and a lot I never meant to buy).
