I went there with a rc car asking if they could sell me a receiver for a dx6i remote which usually is a aircraft remote. The guys said they are not sure if it works. Fair enough. They then said just buy it on pot luck and try. WTF? I then asked if we could try it quickly see if the servo moves. The answer was "we don't try things in this store". Called back a day later after researching and asked if they could let me know what receivers they have in stock. The guy said he is not sure to call back another day??? I asked if he could please have a quick look as I would like to buy one today. The answer was "it is easier just to say we don't have it" and that was a different guy than the guy I spoke to in the shop the day before. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER I bought one from hobby tech in freo they were more than happy to test it with me and take my business. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN

Ive been here a couple of times for RC car parts and other bits and pieces and they just never have anything, I mean they dont hold any stock in parts even for the most popular RC that break constantly. They would make some money if they actually outlayed a bit on spare parts. I didnt find the staff rude just clueless, I seemed to know more about what they were selling than the bloke serving me. The owner is OK he gave me a free battery when one I had failed but I was lucky he even had one at all. Other hobby shops like SIK hobbies and Hobbytech are far better and they actually hold parts.

A bit of a ripoff. They are having a 20% off sale until end of August so I bought 2 Airfix kits that were priced $39.95 each. Paid by eftpos stepped outside checked the receipt and the pricing was wrong. With the 20% discount it should have been $64 but I was charged $75. Went back in and they said that was the "old" price and the computer had taken 20% off the current price. I said to them that's not really how it works as the entire stack of Airfix were all clearly labelled $39.95 and they offered a full refund but not willing to discount the sticker price. I took it anyway because Standbridges don't do Airfix and even though I could get the kits cheaper online the postage and wait time would cost more. So if you do shop there CONFIRM the prices as you go. Staff were otherwise pretty helpful but they could certainly do with a better signing/labelling system because it's very hard to find anything specific without trolling through shelves of boxes.

I brought a Traxxas Bandit the staff explained to me everything i needed to know and also suggested a fast charger to reduce charge time and i was very happy with the service

Arrogant a**holes seem to flock here as employees. They were unpleasant to deal with and weren't forthcoming of information. This given that I am new to RC's and was expecting some help from "professionals". I have been there 3 times, and recieved the same level of service from 3 different employees. Save your money for someone who is willing to help and not stiff you on price. Took my business to SIK Hobbies in Malaga, chalk and cheese. They were more than helpful and were flexible on price as I wanted to spend around 1k. Avoid these guys, not worth your time and especially not worth your money. Rant over.
