Pancho's Mexican Villa Restaurant
Reviews
we thought the food was very average in taste and quality but expensive in price.. I had chicken , which was a very small breast cut in 2 and very dry even though it was covered in sauce, my " baked potato" was really 2 slices of potato. One ordered a king prawns dish which came head complete and was very overcooked and rubbery.. with brown rice and no sauce.. Another girl ordered another prawn dish and was disappointed as well .. To be fair the manager was told we werent happy after the waiter asked us about our meals, and came over to talk to us and offered us a free dessert each... which just to rub salt in the wound.. took 40 mins to come... wont be in a hurry to return
Tasty Mexican, or at least a Western version of Mexican food.
I have no idea how mexican can take so long to prepare. 40 minutes for 4 meals and when they came out the orders were wrong but we still ate in fear of having to wait another 40. The wait stuff didnt really seem like they cared or were all that bothered. Even overheard people at the table across from us complaining about the same thing. After all the hype I have heard from this place, I was let down by bad service, average food and an enchilada that left a salty, processed taste in my mouth.
I'm surprised at all the poor reviews. The service can be slow sometimes... But maybe you missed the note on the menus, that they have a relaxed atmosphere, feel free to wave and shout for service. I think this is intentional to create a friendly relaxed atmosphere. I've eaten here twice, both times food was delicious. Will go back for sure.
Been going there for years. Love the food, love the tequila. Service is awesome. Could use a Mariachi Band on certain nights to improve the atmosphere though.
