APPALLING. OVER PRICED AND CAN'T EVEN RE-HEAT FOOD ADEQUATELY, LET ALONE COOK IT. I Ordered "lasagne"; it was clearly reheated, and only partially so at that; how do I know this? Because half of it was cold. Apart from the obvious health risk, it was also disgusting, bland and ridiculously over-priced for a small portion of pasta with no side dishes, vegetables or even salad. The reaction when a complaint was made wasn't the magnanimous apology one would reasonably expect under the circumstances. Give it a miss - there are far superior places to eat... like the local dustbin.
Over the last 35 years I have been eating here with family and friends - not nonstop. I have probably been some twenty times. Always had the spaghetti marinara and loved the food and ambiance and professional and dignified waiters.
I have been eating at Sorrento for the last 5 years. The menu doesn't change much but the food is excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are friendly.
Recently I did some work for the Sorrento Restaurant and built them a mobile friendly website. As part of the payment I requested some food vouchers. I gave one to my house mate. He and his lady went a few nights later and he hasn't stopped raving about how good the food was. That the food was superb. He especially loved the oysters and the prawns and said the sauce was to die for. I know my house mate. He is very fussy when it comes to food. Although he would never get around to writing a review I thought i should say something because he was really, really impressed.
Delicious restaurant but the prices are too high because the size of dishes are so small. 1 pizza and 1 pasta are not enough for a person.
