Bear Paw Cafe
Reviews
We had to wait outside for a but before getting in to be seated. I was greeted with a warm, cozy atmosphere that bustled with the sounds of busy restaurant. Our servers were friendly and the food was delicious. I would definitely return!
My husband and I really like going to local places to eat when we travel and thought that the Bear Paw Cafe would fit the bill. Boy were we wrong! While we didn't mind the wait there were others, who arrived after us, who were seated before we were. The young man came out and called another couple before us, again, and I had to ask when we were going to be seated. Only then did we get seated. We both ordered the biscuits and gravy with crisp bacon, hash browns, and eggs. My husband ordered a tomato juice and I ordered a caramel latte. His juice was great! However, the latte was tepid at best and cooled way too fast for me to enjoy properly. When our food arrived it looked really tasty. The bacon, sadly, was limp. We like our bacon crisp. We asked our server to take it back to make it crisper. We were more than half way through our meals when I had to ask about our bacon. Our server must be fairly new. She returned with the plate and while the bacon was a lot warmer it was still limp! I would not recommend this place to anyone. We have both had better fare at Denny's and Village Inn. As for the latte; I've had far better and less $$$.
Grrat food but if was 1 hour and 45 minutes from the time we gave them our name until we got our food since they lost our name on their list. Grrr
So many good options to choose. The crepes and French toast are excellent. Very long wait as it's a small place and very popular so plan ahead
We come back here every year when we come down for the Huntsman Senior Games. The portions are huge so my husband and I split a breakfast with orange juice and coffee. Perfect! This is a very busy place so you may have a wait but the service is great and the waitresses are very good. If your visiting here and love the area, you might want to stop at the Wide Angle Photography Gallery down the street to peruse some of Nathan Wotkyn's fabulous photos!
