Porter's Place

When first entered was impressed with atmosphere. Later however they put us in a back room and rarely saw our server. Forgot to bring butter or honey with our bread. the other people in the back room with us experienced the same treatment. Very slow service. Took about an hour to get our food. Food was bland and overcooked. My 27 dollar steak was not worth $27. Salad bar very lacking. Needed to be refilled. I went back multiple times to see if it had been restocked. No luck. Hard to even find plates for my salad. got sick that night from what I ate. I don't plan on going back ever. Would not recommend. It's too bad because I had high hopes for this place.
You get what you pay for. The food was good, service was ok. It's in a neat area along Lehi main street.
The interior in the front room is cute. Our group got put in a room off the backroom where the wood was falling off the wall and there were flies everywhere. The food took ages, we never got refills, and the food was either burned (hamburgers) or bland (pork chops with zero seasoning). Its not worth the money! 5 guys has a better burger, and you can make better pork chops at home for less than 17$ a person
This is authentic Utah cuisine! Has the old bar feel from the 19th century but family friendly (It's Utah). My dad took me here twice a year as a kid now I take my own family. A wonderful tradition. I highly recommend you order an appetizer of scones with honey butter (fried bread). Their buffalo options are also excellent along with their non-alcoholic specialty drinks such as the Queen of Hearts or Timpanogos Snow Drift. If you really want a treat I recommend the crab and steak option. Excellent food and a great unique atmosphere!
Most unique and fun restaurant in Utah valley! Highly recommend it. Fun atmosphere and a really cool life size drawing of Porter Rockwell himself. I went there once and his great-great-great grandson was doing the cashier with the same hair style. Very fun, historical, restaurant.
