Blue Lemon Restaurant and Cafe
Reviews
Highland, UT Blue Lemon GOING DOWNHILL. I have been bringing clients here since they have opened. Today I walked in and some short haired snippy girl told me if I wanted breakfast I was on the wrong side (ok my mistake) When I got to the Bistro side I saw a small piece of paper that had a kids menu printed on it, so I asked if she had a menu I can look at and her reply was “your looking at it.” I then proceeded to ask what she suggested and was told “just point on the menu” excuse me? “just point to the menu and order that.” WOW...I can get better service at McDonalds for a fraction of the price. Thanks for your help! Ill take my clients somewhere else for now on.
Steak Tacos! Black Bean Ravioli! Salads. And banana foster. (breakfast)
The Blue Lemon is a very good place to go for lunch if you are in the Highland/ Alpine area. The lines are normally very long as it is a local favorite. They make a very good turkey burger. I like going here because the food is cooked fresh and the atmosphere is pleasant. I have tried most of the food here and the prices are on the higher end. I don't mind paying for fresh food though. Get the sweet potato fries.
Absolutely LOVE this place! Amazing sandwiches, great entrees, awesome drinks...all of this in such an incredibly fresh ambiance. Makes me never want to go back home! The Highland location also just updated their cafe...super chic new look. Very modern and fun. I can't wait to go back! (I'm sure it won't be too long...I'm typically here at least once/week!) PS- Try the sugar cookies and the Blue Lemon Bites. Amazing.
The restaurant itself is gorgeous: excellent interior design, great natural and artificial lighting, and a simple, streamlined layout. The cleanliness in the restaurant is also fantastic, from the tables, to the smell, to the floor and other surfaces. The staff looked clean, alert, and personable, and acted professionally and helpfully. The menu displays were aesthetically wonderful, and the way they were designed to highlight the food works very well; the menu is not overwhelming with many, random choices, but is instead well-themed and still gives you a feeling of variety. I had the fish tacos, the pear-spinach salad, and the german chocolate cake for dessert. The fish tacos were excellent (especially the shrimp, which was cooked perfectly: very firm but tender.) The spinach was all fresh and not wilted, the grapes were shiny and crisp, and the pears were cooked in a way that made them not soggy. The dessert was wonderful as well. The ice in the drink machines was the nice kind in my opinion (which is rare). I loved how it had the feel and quality of a nice sit down restaurant, but did not have the long waits and personal waiters, which made me enjoy my experience a lot more because I was able to fill up my drink whenever I needed to, and we did not have to wait for a waiter (who would normally be working multiple tables) to take our orders and give us our food. We ordered before we sat down and had a server bring us our food after it was cooked. I had a great experience and hope to be back many times.
