My family and I was visiting the Austin area from Houston. As we all know, Houston has some really great BBQ, but I must say this may have been the best brisket I have ever had. I asked for the "fattier" slices and I was extremely pleased. There was smoke flavor throughout the slices and it didn't even need the great BBQ sauce that came with it. The moisture, salt level and spice were perfect. Along with the great meat, the sides were on point. You must try this place!
Some of the best dry rub barbecue in Austin, hands down. This has everything you might ever need in a BBQ spot - great deck with a nice view, live music, and only great craft beer. They brew their own (which goes fast) and offer a great selection of other local and non-local brews on tap. Friendly folks on staff, too. Well worth a visit - I'll be back.
My girlfriend myself and my friend's all love this place. We have been here twice now, the first time we were not expecting much. We were floored. Beer selection and their house beer is all great. The food was awesome, I've had the brisket, sausage, chicken fried steak, all are great. my girl friend loved the hemp seed burger, and my friend would not stop talking about the smoked chicken. Great place, I hope it does well. I will be back.
My daughter was visiting me in Austin from NC and we were on our way to Fredericksburg for the day. We decided Barbecue sounded good but had no idea where to go. We just happened to see this on the way and decided to give it a try. It was WONDERFUL! The best pulled pork sandwich that I have had in a long time and I could live on that cole slaw!
I almost gave it two stars. Ribs were awesome, really good, sauce is good but they don't give you much. Pulled pork was good. Brisket was tough and dry. Slaw was terrible, I'm not sure if that is the recipe or if this was just a batch beyond its proper serving date, but between a party of 5, none of us could even touch it. I gave it 3 because the flavor is there I the meat, rub was great, ribs were amazing, sauce is great, just some of it needs work. Service and speed definitely need work too. Slow day and it took 40 min to get our food. Hopefully they read some of this and fix it, because it could be good.
