When we eat at El Rey's, we've rarely been disappointed with the food. We thoroughly enjoy the Fish Tacos. Some of the best we've ever tasted. They're Stuffed Avocadoes with shrimp-another delicious meal. Queso is good, Salsa is good (although Wednesday night, the red was very spicy.) The Sopapillas are especially delicious--love the honey, chocolate syrup, whip cream and cherry. Disappointing was the Margaritas on the rocks! How do you mess that up? They were sour, like they were made with sour limes. Service is fair to poor. They do not train their waiters. They've recently expanded. It will be curious to know how the expansion contains the noise level. One reason we do not like going to Trudy's is that it is VERY LOUD.
We love El Rey. Great food, excellent drinks and very friendly and helpful staff.
