I took my car in with a whole myriad of noises. The problem was with the catalytic converter. The mechanic told me what he did to check that, and seemed really excited about the challenge and finding the solution. I asked what the cost would be to do it myself, and they told me the diagnostic was free, since it didn't take too much time. That's when I really knew that I was dealing with an honest shop that cared about the work they did. I decided to go with the very reasonable estimate they provided, and am completely satisfied with their work. If you have car troubles, go here first! Good staff, honest workers, and reasonable prices.
C. on 7/8/2014 Rating: I would like to start by stating every move seems to be crazy, but thanks to my rental experience it became insane. At first things went well I made a reservation and as expected my U-haul was ready when I showed up at 10 am on June 28. The next morning I ran into issue with my help showing up late putting me behind getting my stuff unloaded. I then receive a call from the regional office leaving a message telling me that I was late with my rental and because I did not return it in time two other families were unable to move. I agree me being late is an issue but in NO way should I have been told that or treated that way. A simple Mr. Carter we see that you are late and would like to check on status because other families are inquiring about a truck. Second when my help did show up I had issues with the truck running very poorly, every time I came to a incline and had to stop the truck would stall. I did not have this issue before the truck was loaded. I finally got the stuff unloaded about 230 June 29 and returned the truck to the location. When I arrived, a man was sweeping the back of a truck out; I proceeded to the door not realizing that the location was closed. I went inside and stood awhile, then went back out to look for man in the truck he tried to hand me his keys for his rental unit. I explained that I did not work there and realized that the Manager must have forgotten to lock the doors. I then decided to contact the Oxford Police because I was concerned with leaving the location, considering the location is also Oxford Car Care and has lots of tools and equipment inside. I waited for the police to arrive and let them know what happen I then left. But the final issue was enough; I was shocked the next day to find out that I was being charge for 3 days rental. I assumed that I would be charge for 2 days since I was a few hours late, but not 3. So I called the regional number to dispute the charge. The lady explained that she would forward the information the location to fix the issue. I also explained to her all the issues I had; she said she was sorry for all the issues. A week later I still have not received a call from the Oxford Car Care or the Regional Manger about my problems or my refund. I have tried to call Oxford Car Care to be told every time I call that she is on the other line and will be with me, after holding for so long I just try back later to get the same. I must say I have never had this kind of issue’s with any rental company and as far as ever using U-haul again I will not. At this point I just want my money back, and will plan on going with Hertz next time. Sammie Carter 7/15/2014 Still no refund or any calls!
I had my car at a couple of shops in oxford, and no one could find the noise my car was making. Dave pin pointed it to one suspension part, and now its quite. I had estimates from other shops that just seem to cover the whole area instead of just finding the problem.
