Great experience! Wonderful staff, great food, and a classic bar feel. Clean, well-kept, and only slightly hidden in the alley.
Stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night, it was my first trip to Mac & Joe's. The service was spectacular. I asked the servers what I should try, without hesitation the gentleman told me to try this particular meal. I was satisfied with the decision. I would definitely recommend this establishment for anyone looking for a good meal at a reasonable price.
Food was good, service was rough. Waited 40 min. for food.
Of the 21+ bars in Oxford Mac & Joe's is bar far the best. Not only does it have delicious food during the day but the atmosphere at night is very comfortable and low key. Mac & Joe's is a place where you can hang out with friends in a chill environment and not worry about creepers coming up to you (such as at places like 45 and Brickstreet). The alley may be intimidating but it is well worth the trip down the alley.
