Six Plates Wine Bar
Reviews
I went there with a group of friends for a gathering/party; everything was included...out of 14 people I was the only person ask for identification. I told them that I was with the group and they did not ask anyone else for IDs before serving alcoholic beverages. Why was I being targeted? A gentleman approached me and became quite aggressive stating it was the bars and his right by NC laws to card anyone that he deemed necessary. I asked was it because I was a different race than the people standing near getting drinks...I was reassured that this was not the case and that I should "take it as a compliment; we are just saying that you look young." I showed them my ID, which I am 29 years old about to 30 in a few months. Then told his and surrounding staff that I did not want a drink at all. One of the other group members, who is many years younger than me, went up to the bar five minutes after me and was not asked for identification. I don't know why I was singled out; I am not going to even play the "race card," but I feel like it is poor customer service to single one person out of a group of 14-15 people to say "I don't believe you" are the age that you say you are...considering that I was one of the eldest in the group. Please either come up with a policy to card everyone like other restaurants. So tonight after working a full day and saving up my calories for what I thought was going to be an amazing meal; I chose not to accept the drink or the food; will not patronize a restaurant that rudely speaks to its customers and single out customers "just because I can."
6 plates offers just that - 6 plates. great little wine bar specializing in spanish wines.
really fun setting with great food.
Meh. I've never seen what the fuss is all about.
great place for a leisurely evening of great wine, food and conversation. selection of six plates and the wines are ever changing and always delicious. small menu so options are limited if a person has food issues.
