Stopped in today after an event in the harbor. Started with a great craft beer and ordered the fish tacos. Generally, I’m really picky about my fish tacos and have questions about how they are prepared. My waitperson explained in detail which convinced me to take a chance. The tacos were absolutely delicious! I followed that with their only dessert, a caramel pecan cheese cake that was just perfect, especially with the second beer, a dark, peppery IPA. I never, ever order more than one beer and could not finish the second, but I’m glad I tried it. I will definitely return. However, based on the negative reviews I have read, I will avoid coming prior to a show or other special event. The restaurant will be the event!
Good beer, good atmosphere...good crab cakes but very over priced cakes!
Would not go back. They were out of my top 2 picks in beers... The waitress was very aloof and service was slow even though they weren't busy. Ordered the tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons and it came with 3 croutons. And no spoon - had to ask for that. I asked the waitress about the croutons so she brought me a side of them (5 more. Yes only 5)
40 beers on tap, fun trivia game on Monday nights, relaxing ambiance.
Terrible experience!!! Went for a pre theater burger and made a reservation 24 hours in advance. We waited 15 minutes standing in the outside stairwell before getting seated. THEN the real annoying problems began. I ordered the Great Gatsby (some vodka drink) and when it arrived I swear it tasted like cough syrup. My wife liked it but it really wasn't for me. I kindly asked if I could switch it out for a pint of beer and the waiter said that's against their policy. Now my wife and I eat out a LOT. In New York, DC and all over the world. Never heard of this policy. Ok, my wife said, if it's a problem with the manager just have him come over. When I explained to the manager that I just didn't care for the drink he responded with "well you shouldn't order our drinks because you clearly don't like what we make." Whatever. The review is already too long but the drink sucked, the food sucked and the service sucked. There is a panera bread around the corner...go there.
