Foxfire Restaurant
Reviews
My significant other and I visited this restaurant on Friday, July 18th in celebration of my 50th birthday. Although neither of us had ever been to the restaurant before, we were THRILLED with our visit. He had the New York Strip Steak and said it was one of the best steaks he had ever had. I had the Prime Rib which was far more flavorful than I get at most restaurants. The service was also phenomenal. Everyone paid attention to the details, from the timing of the food service, to packing the horseradish sauce and au jus in my take home container.
I took my wife to Fox Fire for her birthday the steaks were excellent and service was very good. The owner came to our table and asked if we were celebrating anything and we told him it was her birthday. He sent us a giant piece of chocolate cake on the house. The prices are very good considering the quality of the steaks, location, and decor. I recommend trying one of the crust (the list is quite extensive) combined with the rib eye.
We were made to feel welcome the moment we came in. Heather is an amazing part of this team. Thank you Heather for your great service and thank you K.C. for the "Welcome to FoxFire" Dessert!!
Soory, We brought friends and the meal was bad. We went back by ourselves and experienced the same thing . I don't know what happened but the food value has gone south. I really thought this was going to be a place to go for an excellent meal but it has fallen flat.
My wife and I are always trying to find reasonable places to get a good meal. We don't have money for Mortons too often, but have enough taste that a steak at Outback steakhouse is a joke to us. Finding a great 30-35 dollar plate steakhouse is kind of tricky, so we were hoping this may be a good spot. It started off well. I like the ambiance, the place is pretty cool. Quaint and nice without being stuffy and pretentious. Our server was a b#@*h, and had no problem being short and snippy with us, even though she only had two tables in a snowstorm. The calamari was tasty, as was the soup starter. But then the main course came. Cooked incorrectly, and one of ours was missing the add on crust we ordered (it made it onto the final bill, but never saw the top of my ribeye). Plus, why make steaks "to-order" when asking for medium rare is just a suggestion to the chef? Besides being overcooked in my case and undercooked in my wife's case, they were just.... OK. Not bad, but closer to something that should've been at Chili's than a steak and chop house, you know? All in all, I was very disappointed, and have no interest in trying it again.
